Indian Mythology
Shiva's Trishula is a weapon that is feared by everyone and anyone for it's power. Aside from it's power Shiva's Trishula has a lot of symbolism behind it and it is able to be found at all of Shiva's shrines. The Trishula's three points represent the three states of consciousness, waking, dreaming, and sleeping. Wielding this weapon shows that Shiva is above all three states ( he is not awake, dreaming or sleeping), yet he is the one who maintains these states. Shul means problems and suffering. Trishul means something that gets rid of suffering.

"Three types of pain that arise in life:
1. Aadibhautik (physical)
2. Aadhyaatmik (spiritual)
3. Aadidaivik (ethereal)"

Shiva is the one who relieves you of these problems.

Sudarshan Chakra
The Sudarshana chakra is disc like weapon which is used by Vishnu. It is said to be the strongest weapon in the universe, capable of killing anyone who goes against law and justice on Vishnu’s command. It does not have much mention in Hinduism compared to the Trishula because it is only used when someone can't ask Shiva for help and needs to ask Vishnu (which is much harder to do than asking Shiva).
